Fini sembra di essere una persona seria. Parla come un politico, e' furbo come un politico e sa quando parlare e cosa dire. Mi ricordo di GianFranco a New York. Fini aveva ricevuto un bigliettino da visita ,da me,di un vice presidente di una compagnia di sicurezza del Nord America. Il Vice Presidente si chiamava Richard Stern. Appena visto il nome gli occhi sono usciti da fuori. Mi chiede: E' il figlio di (Michael) Stern? La compagnia di sicurazza sito a Clifton,New Jersey fa sistemi di sicurezza dei perimetri di edifici,aeroporti e centri nucleari per governi e compagnie in tutto il mondo.

Si chiama Francesca Pascale, la nuova ragazza di Silvio Berlusconi. << Sembra che e' una ragazza molto dedicata alla politica e questo l'ha aiutata a conoscere il premier>> dice FPG. << Finalmente Berlusconi ha trovato una persona con cui lui potrebbe sentirsi meno solo dopo i suoi problemi coniugali.  La ragazza napoletana ha solo 28 anni e la differenza eta' sembra enorme. This has been, perhaps, a once in a lifetime storm that has caused damage to a large chunk of the United States. For the New York area, it has been also a storm with a significant loss of life. All NewYorkers have felt the effect of this storm, even those that had to wait at the gas stations for hours to order to get some gas
for their vehicles and generators. We must pray and hope for better times ahead but always be prepared for what Mother Nature throws our way.

The Astoria Homeowners, Tenants & Business Civic Association will meet tonight at 7.30 pm at Saint Francis of Assisi School Basement located at 21-17 45th Street in Astoria, NY. President Rodolfo Sarchese urges all
members of the community to participate at this event. Special guest speakers include Jose Peralta, New York State Senator who has received a portion of the Astoria area once under Michael Giannaris. Also attending will be Aravella Simotas, NYS Assemblywoman and Stephen Cirabisi, Deputy Inspector of the 114th Precinct who will discuss the safety issues we should be concerned about.

LAST CHANCE DRIVING SCHOOL DEBUTS ON A&E

Billy the Exterminator, Dog the Bounty Hunter, Storage Wars and other A&E shows are now joined by the latest headed by Sven Ruppaner and his wife Maria. It's called Last Chance Driving School. The episodes of this first season will air every Saturday night at 10 pm. The driving school is Queens Driving School and it's located on Broadway in Queens. There are many driving schools like Ferrari Driving in Astoria or Mercedes in Bayside but Queens Driving School is now getting the visibility thanks to Last Chance. I hope to enjoy this one. PLANE FOOD DELIVERY TRUCK MAKES BINGO ON HAZEN STREET

Astoria, New York

A food truck plows into a row of back to back mercedes (3) audi (1) and mazda (1) vehicles on Hazen Street last Sunday. The bingo was made because 4 of the 5 vehicles belonged to the family of a real estate broker and owner of a property on Hazen Street. The driver of the food truck said that, perhaps, he fell asleep, commented one of the victims. A huge tow truck was employed to take the delivery truck away from one of the mercedes. Hazen Street is a truck route and residents have complained of the 24 hour a day noise of the trucks and of some speedy drivers.

Sia Romney che Gingrich saranno in duello per essere nominati dal Partito Repubblicano per combattere contro Obama nelle prossime elezioni. L'italiano Rick Santorum che adesso gli e' stato concesso una vittoria nella Iowa Caucus a danno di Mitt Romney, conclude la sua posizione al terzo posto. Sia Romney che Gingrich non sono Cattolici e questa storia di egemonia anglo-sassona nella politica americana dei Repubblicani continua. Santorum potrebbe essere la wild card in queste elezioni e la direzione di Berlusconi Italia crede che, non appena il vincitore dei repubblicani venga nominato, dovrebbe scegliere bene il suo Vice. E come si dice in Italia " Tra i due litiganti ( Romney e Gingrich ) il terzo gode ( Santorum ). E Rick Santorum potrebbe godere veramente come Vice Presidente.

A deli owner, Rosario of Rosario Deli located under the Ditmars Boulevard train station has claimed to have been mugged by thugs with sticks, as reported by the Daily News on January 12th. The deli owner was going to his car on December 21st when he was attacked in the municipal parking lot. What has upset Rosario De Marco in the aftermath was the lack of a witness video due to the city parking lot surveillance video camera not working. " It's like like having a television without no screen. Why have a surveillance video camera if it's not doing the job? " a resident said. The city parking lot is located in the heart of the Ditmars shopping area and within a block from the 3 local politicians Vallone, Gianaris and Simotas.

L'italo-americano Rick Santorum si classifica al quinto posto nelle primarie repubblicane, sfiorando il quarto posto di Newt Gingrich.
